Digital Engagement Agency, a startup marketing bureau based in Amsterdam. They asked me to create a new logo for their brand identity.

The first thing I was trying to find out is how they saw the company. What kind of feeling the company wanted to give off to potential customers. I found out they wanted a simple and sleek look (almost futuristic) of a new era design agency.

After establishing a train of thought I went to the drawing board. I went through 2 iterations of design in Illustrator. In total I designed a sum of more than 20 logos with varying shapes colors and from. From the last iteration they chose the variant above.


INSPIRATION

MOODBOARD

During my time designing I crafted multiple moodboards for the tone and color. I posted one of them below to show how I use these. I wanted to go for a design(ish) feel and use couragious colors in a flat approach.

1. CASE STUDY

A company that wanted to have a online identity and was relative new on the market. I proposed multiple suggestions but they geld on to their initial idea.

2. RESULT

I ended up making a lot of different logos. Even though they liked a lot of them they wanted something very simple. They chose a black and white logo.

3. EXPERIENCE

I learned that its best not to mimimize my personal prefference as a designer into the mix. It is always best to listen to the wishes of your client.
